Mega is looking for a meticulous Price & Market Analyst passionate with numbers to manage their Pricing and Risk activity for clients! The Job :
As a Price & Market Analyst at Mega, you will manage data relating the energy markets, in particular Belgian Gas and power, relating to position / exposure / price. Ready ? Because we are 😊
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze pricing recommendation from the Sourcing department and set-up the pricing positions for residential and B2B market.
- Control the correct implementation and distribution of prices across internal and external sales & marketing channels.
- Develop comprehensive bids and proposals for projects and tenders, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards.
- Monitor, assess, and manage risk exposures related to projects, and provide proactive solutions to mitigate potential impacts.
- Analyze market data and trends to provide strategic business recommendations, supported by thorough research and clear rationale.
- Track and analyze daily and montlhy market prices in relation to established targets and trigger levels, and advise on necessary actions.
- Prepare detailed weekly and monthly reports on market trends, company positions, and performance metrics to inform decision-making and strategy.
- Act as the main point of contact for the organization and management of price checks.

Job requirements
Is this job made for you?
- Education/Experience : Bachelor's degree in Economics, Data Science, Maths, Statistics or a similar field OR 1year experience working in a Data focused role within the energy industry.
- Skills : Strong MS Excel, and Power BI experience, comfortable analyzing large sets of data. Ideally experience with VBA, Python or Modeling.
- A sound grasp of key drivers that impact energy and financial markets.
- Ability to articulate alternative propositions & make recommendations based on sound logic and reasoning.
- You love to play with numbers and analyze a vibrant market.
- Languages: Native in Dutch or French. Good knowledge of English.
