Our team is looking for a passionate Regulatory Manager, willing to help Mega to expand its Legal & Regulatory department for our activities in Belgium and bring it to the top! đź’Ąđź’ˇ Strong communicator, rigorous, hands-on, with passion for the Energy market? Motivated to evolve within a fast-growing group? You have 5-year as a regulatory expert, preferably within a reference player in the energy sector ? You are the one !


The Job :

In this role you will be part of our Legal & Regulatory team and you will report to the Legal & Regulatory Director. You will be a sparring partner for our Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience and Operations departments in regulatory matters. Together with your colleagues of the Legal & Regulatory Team you will:

  • Identify the evolutions of the regulatory framework applicable in the energy sector and changes in the market that are relevant for Mega (energy transition, market model, ...) ;
  • Help our operating departments in regulatory compliance and continuous improvements ;
  • Manage relationships with the different stakeholders (regulators, DSOs, the sector federation Febeg, administration, cabinets, consumer organisations, politicians, …) & actively participate in external meetings ;
  • Discover business opportunities together with the different departments with Mega and support the business by proactively lobbying.

Job requirements

Is this job for you?

  • You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the energy sector or another regulated sector with a strong focus on consumers.
  • A master’s degree in law is a plus.
  • You are passionate by the energy market, its mechanisms, its key actors and its evolution.
  • You have strong written and oral communication skills and you are able to explain complex issues in a simple and concise way to the different departments and the external stakeholders.
  • You are enthusiastic, rigorous, hands-on, pro-active, analytical, pragmatic, result oriented.
  • You can work autonomous but you are also willing to share your knowledge and work in a highly collaborative team.
  • You are fluent in French or Dutch and have a very good knowledge of the other language.
