The Job :
As the Head of Retail B2C, you will spearhead the commercial development of our Mass market Energy supply business, focusing on expanding our presence with B2C and SOHO customers across Belgium. You will leverage your energy, strategic sales & marketing expertise and customer relationship skills to take our growth to the next level. Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership & Commercial Development :
Lead the strategic direction and growth of the B2C Energy supply business in Belgium, with a focus on business performance and market share.
Develop high-impact marketing and commercial strategies to expand the customer base through both client retention and acquisition, ensuring sustained revenue growth and profitability.
Drive innovation in offerings for residential customers and small businesses, identifying opportunities for product enhancements and new solutions that meet evolving customer needs while ensuring quality services and satisfaction.
Continuously improve the mass market product portfolio to ensure alignment with the brand positioning, market relevance and growth objectives while enhancing profitability.
Stakeholders Engagement & Market Intelligence :
Build and maintain relationships with high-value commercial partners, and key stakeholders through regular engagements, positioning the company as a trusted partner.
Gather and analyze market intelligence to inform business decisions, staying ahead of competitive trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and brand reputation by addressing high-stakes issues and enhancing customer experience in collaboration with internal departments, including Customer Care, Operations, Marketing and IT.
Go-to-market, Team & Partner Management :
Oversee the development and management of all performance driven channels, guiding sales agreements, ensuring a balanced mix of digital, external, inbound and outbound sales at an optimized cost-to-acquire, in collaboration with the sales channel management and digital sales management teams.
Monitor and analyze sales results and KPIs to ensure targets are met, implementing corrective actions when necessary to sustain growth and profitability.
Oversee the branding & other go-to-market strategies implemented by our Marketing teams to ensure optimized campaigns ROI.
Lead and manage the sales management team, ensuring performance, transparency in communication, alignment on objectives, and reporting on key sales metrics.
Digital Transformation & Process Improvement :
Drive innovation in digital tools and sales processes, particularly related to customer onboarding (sales funnel), customer journeys, and sales partner management.
Champion the adoption of new technologies and data-driven methodologies to enhance sales efficiency, customer insights, and decision-making.
Profitability & Cost Optimization :
Drive improvement in key profitability KPIs, including churn rates, bad debt management, cost-to-acquire and operational expenses (OPEX), ensuring sustainable and healthy margins across all sales channels.
Collaborate closely with the Credit & Collection team to ensure efficient risk management and secure client payments.
Work with finance and executive teams to set and monitor budgets, forecast performance, and optimize costs without compromising.

Job requirements
Is this job made for you ?
Education : University degree (business, commerce or related field).
Experience : Proven experience (minimum 7 to 10 years) as a sales manager/director, preferably in the energy sector or in a startup.
Language : Fluency in French or Dutch and strong English skills.
Strong leadership, marketing, sales and customer experience management skills. You love selling and have excellent commercial and negotiation skills.
You are actions and results-oriented.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to analyze data and use it to make strategic decisions.
Entrepreneurial spirit, resourcefulness, ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt quickly to change.
