Business Analyst

Mega is looking for a skilled Business Analyst to support our business operations and strategic initiatives in the energy and telecommunications sectors. 💥💡

The Job (yes the tasks list is detailed ! It will be fun, we promise) :

• Analyze market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics in the Belgian energy and telecommunications sectors to identify opportunities and threats that impact our business strategy.
• Analyze and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
• Gather, interpret, and present data to support strategic decision-making processes, and develop performance metrics to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities, develop strategies to enhance our market position, and ensure project alignment and integration.
• Develop a deep understanding of our systems, including processes, databases, software, integrations, and technologies, to support teams in translating their needs into actionable specifications.
• Assist in the organization of a new analytics department, including establishing best practices and defining key roles and responsibilities.
• Conduct detailed business analysis to support process improvement initiatives, including workflow optimization, resource allocation, and implementation of operational best practices.
• Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to senior management, highlighting insights, recommendations, and updates on ongoing business initiatives.
• Oversee and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, implement project management standards, conduct regular project reviews, and provide updates to senior management.
• Test newly developed projects to ensure they match initial requirements, identify and mitigate project risks, and continuously monitor the progress and impact of implemented business initiatives.

Job requirements

Is this job made for you?

• Academic : You hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience : You are a proven experience as a Business Analyst and/or project management, preferably within the energy sector or a related industry.
• Skills : You have strong analytical, organizationnal and organizationa skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python...).
• You have an excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• You are proactive with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Language : You are fluent in English and French or Dutch.
• Bonus : Knowledge of the Belgian energy market and telecommunication sectors, regulatory environment, and industry trends is highly desirable.
